use oil to coat the inside of the bolus syringe so the plunger will be less likely to get stuck. Both Ry and I had trouble using these syringes because of this problem. Ry came up with the idea to use oil, specifically olive oil, to help with this problem. It worked like a charm.
As I go through our apartment I am constantly finding supplies we used from the past year or so. I found a box full of bolus syringes and thought about how difficult they were to use, even the ones with the loop on the top of the plunger (to hook your finger on while pulling it out) and remembered how inventive and practical Ry would be with finding solutions for what became the everyday and mundane for us.
